  2. This is a statue representing Christine de Lalaing, who is also called Princesse d'Espinoy. According to the legend, she organized the defense of the city of Tournai when it was besieged by the spanish duke of Parma, in 1581.
    It was made by Aimable Dutrieux in 1863.
    It seems to be frequently disguised by some students of the city, just as they do with the Manneken Pis in Brussels.
